In this semi-regular post, I will share what I enjoy in life that you might also appreciate (or at least get to know me and my quirks better). In addition, I will share things to stir godliness in your life.
When Hard Work Equals the Ordinary Life
I’m highly recommending this robust article by Griffin Gooch. It’s called Why Hard Work Doesn’t Always Pay Off. He weaves the article’s thoughts and premise into an encouraging address to every ordinary life on this planet. He takes Biblical truths we know and weaves them into the fabric of our reality- our life- being, character, attitude, spirit, and soul.
While there is so much to take in with this article, one of the many highlighted quotes that hit me said this
There’s nothing wrong with striving to better our situation, but no matter where we find ourselves, we should aspire to joyfully “lead the life the Lord assigned to us” (1 Cor. 7:17).

My Daily Go-To: Dwell
I’m not a big Phone App Guy. I feel they all drain my battery. The ones I do use, I make sure they are for my good and well-being.
Dwell stands out in front of my screen!! This is an audio Bible that offers the following:
Different translations
read by different voices
with different tones.
Virtually every Bible in a Year plan
along with other smaller Bible-reading plans that you can personalize
Creative playlists
about handling anger, stress, or reminding us of God’s strength, joy, forgiveness, and peace
Bible events
Guided prayer and Bible reading to help you dwell on the word (see what I did there!)
This has refreshed my Bible reading over the last few years. I use the Sleeping with Scripture plan almost nightly. Guys, I commend this to you for your spiritual journey if you struggle with reading consistently.

Thank you for praying as I’ve been balancing this online ministry with my regular overtime job, as well as other ministries and shepherding responsibilities in my local church and area. Prayer support is the best support!
